Fitness enthusiast and reviewer from Berlin

The Short Version

I am Jordan Reed, based in Berlin, and I have spent the last few years documenting my experiences at fitness clubs across Germany.

This site came about after growing weary of selecting gyms from flashy ads and broad tips, only to find the truth didn't match. I wanted clear, candid details about what these facilities are really like. Not finding that, I chose to build it.

How This Started

My training began at a modest gym near Fitnessstraße 12 in Berlin. It wasn't flawless, yet it was reachable, budget-friendly, and it helped me stay consistent.

When that place shut down, I observed how fast the fitness scene in Germany was shifting. New clubs opened, fresh ideas appeared, and marketing grew louder than real member experience.

I began testing various gyms and classes, jotting notes after each visit. Over time those notes turned into this site, designed to help others make clearer choices.

My Approach to Reviews

Each review here stems from actual visits and time spent within the facility. I focus on practical details that matter when you are choosing a membership.

When I review a fitness center, I typically:

  • Invest enough time to map out routines, peak periods, and trends
  • Go on multiple days and various times
  • Experiment with several training styles and coaches
  • Regularly use the amenities to assess cleanliness and comfort
  • Chat with other members about consistency
  • Make notes right after each visit

I refresh entries when major changes occur: renovations, management shifts, pricing changes, or new facilities. Each article shows its last update date so you know how current the information is.

What I Look For

My priorities might differ from yours, so here is what matters most to me when evaluating a fitness center:

Comfort and Privacy: Does the space feel genuinely well-designed for members, with respectful boundaries and a calm atmosphere?

Equipment Quality: Are machines well-maintained? Is there enough variety? Do things get fixed promptly?

Crowd Management: Can you actually train during your preferred time without waiting constantly?

Clean Facilities: Locker rooms, showers, floors, and equipment surfaces. Cleanliness shows how seriously management treats the member experience.

Honest Membership Practices: Clear pricing, clear rules, and no unpleasant surprises.

Beyond the Gym

Outside of training and writing, I live and work in Berlin. This project is here to make fitness choices easier and more transparent for people looking for the right environment.
